Asus launches e-store in India, online channel key to better service to consumers

Taiwanese PC maker Asus has unveiled its official online store in India, eliminating its dependence on e-commerce platforms like Flipkart and Amazon to sell its products. The company is marketing its new online store with the #ShopwithASUS campaign. The online store will be selling off some of the best Asus laptops and smartphones for customers in India. The company said the e-store will be serviced by AYR Technologies, one of the leading online sellers. The new online store will allow consumers to shop for their favorite Asus products directly from the brand without the need to visit the e-commerce platform to search for Asus products. Asus said in a release that the new online store aims to enhance the consumer experience along with making all brand related information easily available. The ASUS e-Store will serve around 30,000 pin-code areas.

“The Asus e-Store will be the most convenient destination to shop from a range of Asus’ cutting-edge products across the ROG (Republic of Gamers) and Consumer PC categories. This will mark the debut of the brand’s wide range of gaming and consumer laptops as well as flagship smartphones – the ROG Phone 5 and ROG Phone 3. The launch of this online store will elevate the online shopping journey of consumers through an immersive digital experience.” Commenting on the announcement, the company’s Regional Director, System Business Group in India, said that an omni-channel presence is the key to the service. and while our extensive offline network provides users with an innovative experience, our online expansion will aid their need for convenient shopping.” The launch of the ASUS e-Store is another step in this direction, providing consumers with Strengthens the brand’s commitment towards empowering. The e-store will offer features to make the shopping experience easier and more smooth. The payment options will be routed through secure gateways and users will be able to make payments using debit and credit cards, digital wallets, e-payments etc. The company also said that it will maintain social distancing by adhering to contactless delivery for all orders placed at the new Asus e-store. Additionally, orders that do not require any sign off from the customer at the time of delivery will be dropped at their doorstep with prior notice, while verbal confirmation from a safe distance will suffice with sign off requirements.

ASUS also provided a toll-free helpline number (1800266416) for customers to reach out to in case of any problems or help. If that doesn’t work, users can also send an email inquiry to Online_India@asus.com.

The ASUS e-Store will also provide value-added features for the consumers. For example, business customers can save up to 18% on their purchases by claiming GST Input Tax Credit. Apart from this, there are offers like warranty extension packs starting at Rs 99, premium branded accessories starting at Rs 499 and easy exchange offers through Cashify.
