Assembly Election 2022 Live Updates: JP Nadda to hold meetings in Agra, Bareilly; BJP has offered two seats to Utpal Parrikar: CM Pramod Sawant

He will also hold meetings with party leaders belonging to 20 assembly constituencies before leaving for Bareilly, where he will conduct door-to-door campaigns following the Election Commission’s guidelines on COVID-19.

Polling will be held in western Uttar Pradesh in the first two phases of the seven-phased elections in the state. The BJP has announced its candidates for 108 of the 113 seats where polling will be held on February 10 and 14.

Meanwhile, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that BJP central leaders are in talks with late CM Manohar Parrikar’s son Utpal Parrikar and have offered him two constituencies to contest in the upcoming assembly elections.

The ruling BJP party earlier today announced 34 candidates for the upcoming Goa Assembly elections, excluding Utpal Parrikar’s name.

“BJP central leader is in touch with Utpal and he has offered two seats to contest in Goa. I am sure this issue will be sorted out and he will consider the proposal,” Goa CM told ANI in Panaji today.

Sawant took a jibe at AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, saying he made statements on every issue for his political gains. “Kejriwal always makes statements for his political gains like he did today. He talks differently in Goa and Delhi. I hope people will recognize such a leader.
