Sushmita Sen revealed that she faced difficulty shooting for Chunnari Chunnari in the biting cold weather of the United States.

Sushmita, however, didn’t like the song when she first listened to it. She revealed it in an exclusive interview with the Pinkvilla. Sushmita said, “When David brought that song to me, I was like, ‘What is this song?’ David is like, ‘It’s a hit song.’ I turned to Salman and said, ‘You think that’s a hit song?’ So Salman’s like, ‘Come, we will show you.’ So we got down to shoot this song, and by the time it was released that year, it was at every wedding. That’s a song that remains very special.”
Sushmita also revealed that she faced difficulty shooting for the track in the biting cold weather of the United States. It was especially difficult for her because she was wearing a lehenga choli. Abhijeet and Anuradha Sriram rendered their vocals to this track. Anu Malik composed the music while Sameer penned the lyrics.
Sushmita bagged the Filmfare Award for Biwi No. 1 under the Best Supporting Actress category. She also became the recipient of the Zee Cine Award and the Awards of the International Indian Film Academy. Sushmita bagged other awards as well for this film. David Dhawan directed Biwi No. 1 starring Karisma Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Tabu and others. This film was released at the cinema halls on May 28, 1999. Puja Films produced it.
