Asia Cup: Pakistan and Sri Lanka will mutually host Asia Cup 2023. According to media reports, this will be the first time during the Asia Cup that the name of Pakistan will be written on the jersey of the Indian team. Starting from August 30, some matches of the Asia Cup will be played in Pakistan and the rest in Sri Lanka. Although the main host of the tournament is Pakistan, the Sri-Lanka was announced co-host after India refused to tour Pakistan.
The Indian team will play all its matches of the tournament in Sri Lanka. Although, as Pakistan is the main host of the Asia Cup, teams may have to write Pakistan’s name on their jerseys.
Pakistan’s name on India’s jersey will be written just below the Asia Cup logo. However, official information has not been revealed yet for the same. The Indian team will play its first match against Pakistan on 2 September.
The match between India and Pakistan will be played in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Apart from the group stage, a match can also be seen between India and Pakistan in the Super-4 stage, If both teams qualify for the Super-4.
The first match in the Asia Cup starting on August 30 will be played between Pakistan and Nepal in Multan, Pakistan. the second match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will be hosted by Sri Lanka. The final of the tournament will also be played in Sri Lanka. Most of the tournament will be hosted by Sri Lanka.
