Asia Cup: Team to participate first time announces balanced squad; details inside

Asia Cup: The Asia Cup is all set to begin on August 30 and now Pakistan and Bangladesh had announced their team for the tournament. Pakistan and Sri Lanka are jointly hosting the tournament wherein 6 Asian countries will fight for the trophy.  

On Monday, Nepal announced the team for the cup. 

Rohit Paudel to lead the team

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) in a tweet, informed that the Nepal team will undergo a week-long preparatory camp in Pakistan, Where the team will train and play matches against teams nominated by Pakistan Cricket Board. 

Rohit Poudel will lead the Nepal team playing in the Asia Cup for the first time. The cricket board has announced a 17-member team. 

First match against Pakistan

Nepal had their first match against Pakistan on 30 August in the Asia Cup tournament. It is part of Group A, which includes India and Pakistan. 

Nepal created history in international cricket by qualifying for the Asia Cup 2023 for the first time. The announced team is a good mix of batting and bowling.
