Former Delhi BJP spokesperson and Supreme Court lawyer Ashwini Upadhyay has called for a march to demand the abolition of ‘colonial era laws’ in India. The crowd turned violent at the event and started raising provocative slogans. Delhi Police registered an FIR against the participants after the video of the same went viral on social media. Now, clarifying his stand, Upadhyay said he did not know when it happened, as the moment there were more than 50 people on the ground, he called off the incident. Describing the video as fake, he also urged the Delhi Police to investigate the matter.
