Ashok Leyland launches BADA DOST i1, i2 LCV with car-like features – Times of India

Commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland today announced the launch of the BADA DOST range which includes BADA DOST i1 and BADA DOST i2. The company also announced the launch of BADA DOST Limited Edition.

The BADA DOST i1 and i2 offer a payload of 1250kg and 1425 kg respectively and the company claimed that they are designed to offer the widest deck of 1750mm width and longest deck of 2596 mm (8.5 ft) for i1 & 2745 mm (9 ft) for i2, which is highest in the category.
The company claims that the BADA DOST i1 and i2 are intelligently designed to have a low turning radius for better suitability for inter and intra-city applications and has the Lowest turning radius in its category – 10.6m on i1 & 11.3 m on i2. BADA DOST i1 and i2 feature a dash-mounted gear shift lever, dual tone dashboard, digital instrument cluster and Air conditioning.

BADA DOST i1 and i2 are offered with a warranty of 3 years/1 lakh km.
The company also announced the launch of BADA DOST Limited Edition, which will be the first commercial vehicle to provide a central locking feature, keyless entry into the vehicle along with anti-theft feature – offerings which are generally seen in passenger vehicles. The Limited edition features a 7-inch touch screen infotainment system with Mobile connectivity and Bluetooth calling feature. The LCV also gets a reverse parking camera.
