This comes after a controversy on a LinkedIn post by one of the BharatPe employees, who alleged that he was yet to receive his March salary. Responding to this post, Ashima Grover called the BharatPe board a “shameless bunch”. This elicited a comment from Suhail Sameer, who said, “Aashima behen – tere bhai ne sara paisa chura liya (sister, your brother stole all the money) ) There is very little left to pay the salary”.

Ashneer directed the letter to BharatPe investors and demanded the resignation of former SBI chairman and veteran banker Rajnish Kumar, who is now the chairman of the BharatPe board.

The BharatPe CEO had later commented on the post and apologized to Ashima for her comments. “My comment was a response to a specific statement, not a post. But I accept the mistake. I request you too to be patient and refrain from creating a story based on a false narrative.”

BharatPe had also denied the claims of non-payment of its employees. “All the employees of the company have been paid their March salaries in full. As per company policy, employees serving the notice period will receive their full and final settlement amount in due course as per company policy,” the company had said in a statement.
