Raftaar’s latest groovy track Phone Mila Ke has been directed by Ashima Chhibber.
Filmmaker Ashima Chibber, best known for her incredible work with Mrs Chatterjee VS Norway, recently directed Raftaar’s latest music video Phone Mila Ke. The song features the evergreen Arusa Khan, best known for her cameo in Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey.
When asked about her experience in directing a music video, she shared, “After a non-stop overseas shoot for my intense feature film Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, shooting for a song and dance track Phone Mila Ke , was another wonderful experience. From sets to costumes to rehearsals, the scale was no less than a feature film song.
He added, “Both Raftaar and Arosa worked really hard and the result is this really dazzling song brilliantly shot by cinematographer Ayananka Bose. And I’m really happy that after my film, my music video too Got hit.
Time and again, Raftaar has impressed his fans with his record breaking songs. This time also his brilliant song Phone Mila went viral within hours of its release. Released under Sony Music Phone Mila Ke, the song is composed, written and sung by Raftaar. The song features Akasa whose enchanting voice blends seamlessly with Raftaar, creating an exotic musical fusion and the glamor of Arusa Khan. The phone is about Mila’s girlfriend getting married while her boyfriend refuses to pick up her phone.
Talking of Mrs Chatterjee VS Norway, the film is based on a real incident from 2011 in which the children of an Indian couple were taken away by the Norwegian welfare services. Rani Mukherjee was in the lead role in this film. Anirban Bhattacharya, Jim Sarbh and Neena Gupta played important roles.
