He was inducted as a Minister of State in the Union Council of Ministers in 2016. He was elected to Rajya Sabha in 2012 and re-elected in 2018. He became the chairman of Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation in 2011 when Modi was the chief minister. .

Born in a middle-class farming family in Hanol, a small village in Palitana taluka of Bhavnagar district of Saurashtra, Mandaviya became the youngest MLA in 2002 at the age of 28. His second journey was in 2007 under the themes ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ and ‘Vyasan Hatao’, in which he crossed 52 villages of 127 km.

In 2019, he undertook a one-week padyatra to propagate the ideology and values ​​of Mahatma Gandhi. The 150 km route of the yatra covered 150 villages.

She is an active participant of the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) and in May 2019, she was honored by UNICEF for her contribution to women’s menstrual hygiene.
