Aryan Khan case: Narcotics Control Bureau SIT seeks 90 more days to file chargesheet

new Delhi: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan came into limelight last year for his alleged involvement in the Mumbai drugs-on-cruise case. The starkid was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on October 3 and even remained in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail. After spending more than 20 days in jail, Aryan Khan and others were granted bail, but the star-kid was asked to mark his presence at the NCB office every Friday.

As per the latest update in the case, NCB has sought extension for filing chargesheet in the drugs-on-cruise case. The agency was to file the charge sheet on April 2.

According to a tweet by ANI, NCB has sought additional time from the Mumbai Sessions Court. The tweet read, “Aryan Khan drugs-on-cruise case | NCB’s SIT seeks additional time of 90 days from Mumbai Sessions Court to file chargesheet in the case. It was to file chargesheet by April 2.

Aryan Khan along with his friends Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha was arrested on a cruise in October last year after the NCB busted a drug party. A SIT team was then formed to probe the matter, which stated that it did not find any evidence to prove that Aryan Khan was part of a larger drug conspiracy contrary to the allegations of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

After getting bail and cleared of all charges, Aryan once again started appearing in public. He was seen at the IPL auction with sister Suhana Khan and Jhanvi Mehta, daughter of IPL co-owner and actress Juhi Chawla.

The starkid was also seen at a celebrity birthday party where he was seen with mother Gauri Khan. On the work front, Aryan, who is interested in directing and screenwriting, is currently working on a web-series.
