Aryan Khan Arrest Update: Shahrukh’s son will apply for bail today; NCB arrests drug smuggler

Bollywood mega-star Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Sunday on charges of drug abuse, sale and purchase after a rave party on a luxury cruise liner was busted. .

Aryan and seven other youths were taken into custody by the NCB and later formally arrested in connection with the Mumbai cruise party raid.

The Esplanade Court in Mumbai has sent three accused, including Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Seth Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, to NCB custody till date.

Star Kid’s bail will be heard today afternoon. Reports state that when Aryan was taken into custody, nothing was found on him and hence, he was booked on charges of only consumption. Aryan Khan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde plans to challenge the NCB’s action in the Bombay High Court on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Narcotics Control Bureau on Monday arrested a drug smuggler in the VVIP drug bust case in Mumbai.

According to an ANI report, a drug supplier was detained after a series of raids in Bandra, Andheri and Lokhandwala on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.

Earlier, NCB superintendent VV Singh, in his arrest memo, had said that Aryan Khan was being arrested under the NDPS Act along with other known and unidentified persons for “involving in the consumption, sale and purchase of narcotics”.

The arrest was made in connection with the seizure of 13 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of MD, 21 grams of charas and 22 tablets of MDMA, aggregating to Rs 1,33,000 from him.

Aryan Khan, 23, admitted and said that he understands the reasons for his arrest and has informed his family.

The action came after NCB swooped in on the Cordelia cruise deluxe ship on Saturday evening, as it was preparing for a scheduled Mumbai-Goa trip, which shocked people, especially those in the entertainment industry.
