Arvind Kejriwal Still In Soup, Supreme Court Reschedules Hearing

After the plea challenging his arrest was dismissed by the Delhi High Court on April 9, Arvind Kejriwal had moved to the Supreme Court challenging the ruling. Now, the apex court stated on Monday that it will hear the Delhi chief minister’s plea on April 29.

Notably, the date that the bench of justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta allotted to Kejriwal happens after the first two phases of the Lok Sabha elections.

The Supreme Court granted the probe agency two weeks to respond to the CM’s plea in the money laundering allegations linked to the liquor policy case.

Before this Arvind Kejriwal’s plea was forthrightly dismissed by the High Court which noted in its ruling that as per the pieces of evidence submitted by the domestic agency (ED), Kejriwal was found involved and conspired in the process.
