New Delhi: The Indian Army has sought assistance from the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China in locating the missing youth from Arunachal Pradesh and returning him as per established protocol, informed defense sources on Thursday (January 20). Sources further said that the Indian Army immediately contacted through an established mechanism to inform that a person, who was collecting herbs and hunting, has lost his way and cannot be found.
“With respect to the incident of the disappearance of a youth named Miram Taran from Arunachal Pradesh, it is informed that on receipt of the information, the Indian Army immediately contacted the PLA through an established hotline mechanism and informed that a person, The man who was collecting herbs and hunting has lost his way and cannot be traced. Help has been sought from the PLA to trace the man and return him as per established protocol. “
Earlier, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had slammed the central government for not reacting to the alleged abduction of Indian youth by China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and said silence is a statement of the Center as they do not care. His statement came after the abduction of 17-year-old Miram Taron by the Chinese PLA from Jido area, Upper Siang district, Lungta Jor area of Arunachal Pradesh.
The Congress leader wrote in Hindi on Twitter, “A few days before Republic Day, a prophet of India has been kidnapped by China – we are with the family of Miram Taroun and will not give up, will not give up. The cowardly silence of the PM is his The statement is – they don’t care!”

We have learned that 17-year-old Miram Taron was kidnapped by the PLA of China from Zido area, Upper Siang district, Lungta Jor area of Arunachal Pradesh. It is unfortunate that Chinese are infiltrating Indian territory,” claims the Congress MLA.
“I also spoke with SP Yingqiong, who confirmed (the incident),” he said. “China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) force enters from the Bissing area. Earlier, the Chinese entered NEFA in 1962 through the Kepangla Pass. A few years ago they built a road inside our territory, but our People chased them away. The incident happened near Bissing.”
He also called for the safe return of Indian youth, Miram Taron. According to Ering, a 17-year-old youth from Arunachal Pradesh was abducted by the Chinese army on Tuesday. He urged the central government to investigate Chinese incursions into Indian soil. His Twitter post said that Taron was abducted by the PLA from a forest called Lungta Jor under Indian territory near Siungla at around 6:30 pm. He told that Terron had gone hunting with his friend Johnny Yewing in Bissing, the last border village of Tooting. However, 27-year-old Yaying escaped from the Chinese army and uncovered the kidnapping episode.
East Arunachal Pradesh MP Tapir Gao had also claimed that the youth was “kidnapped” from Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday. He claimed that the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has kidnapped the youth from where the Tsangpo river enters India in Arunachal Pradesh.
