In a recent interview, she said that she was accused of getting between Sidharth and his rumored girlfriend Shehnaaz Gill. The trio participated in the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 13, which was won by Sidharth. Talking to a leading daily, he said that he distanced himself from the Balika Vadhu actor after these allegations surfaced.
“I was not in touch with Siddharth for almost two years. The last time we spoke was on February 15, 2019. We didn’t even talk. I was deeply moved by what was being said about my friendship with Siddharth. I was blamed for coming between Sidharth and Shehnaaz and their friendship. It impressed me a lot. After that, I decided to let them be. I didn’t want to come in the middle of their friendship. I am not someone who would like to be the cause of stress in someone’s life.”
However, Arti said that she regrets not contacting her, though she thought of doing so several times. “I regret that I did not keep in touch with him. Although I thought about calling him a couple of times, I didn’t because I thought he was happy and I thought let him live his life (and I thought about letting him be). I was just happy to see her happy and wanted to let her be.”
He further said that what happened was unexpected, unfortunate and devastating. “My heart goes out for Shehnaaz. This incident has taught me to follow my heart.”
