Around 112 crore covid vaccines given to states, union territories so far: Govt. India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Around 112 crore Covid vaccine doses. has been provided to states and Union Territories so far, Union Health Ministry Said on Sunday.
More than 13 crore remaining and unused vaccine doses are still available with the states and UTs for vaccination, it said.
Organization Government Committed to accelerate the pace and expand the coverage of COVID-19 vaccination across the country. The immunization drive has been intensified to ensure availability of more vaccines, advance visibility of vaccine availability to states and union territories and streamline the vaccine supply chain, the ministry said.
As part of the nationwide vaccination campaign, the Government of India is supporting the States and Union Territories by providing them free of cost Covid vaccines.
The ministry said that in the new phase of universalisation of the Covid vaccination campaign, the central government procures and supplies 75 per cent of the vaccines being produced by vaccine manufacturers in the country to the states and union territories free of cost.
