It was a big day for Tendulkar and his family as Arjun’s sister Sara was also present at the stadium to support her brother on the big occasion.
Arjun Tendulkar’s long wait finally ended on Sunday as he got a chance to play in the Indian Premier League match for the first time. Batting great Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun set up his first IPL camp at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday for the much-anticipated match against Kolkata Knight Riders.
It was a big day for Tendulkar and his family as Arjun’s sister Sara was also present at the stadium to support her brother on the big occasion. He was seen cheering for Arjun who opened the bowling attack for Mumbai Indians in the mega clash.

The 23-year-old also had a chat with his father Sachin before the match as several pictures of their catch-up went viral on social media.
Sachin, who will turn 50 later this month, is also the team mentor of Mumbai Indians, had earlier said that he does not involve himself in team selection and leaves it to the team management to take a call.
“And if we talk about selection, I have never involved myself in selection. I leave all these things to the (team) management because that is how I have always done things,” Tendulkar had said on his YouTube channel last year.

Arjun received his debut cap from Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma, who handed him the precious cap and said a word that the 23-year-old will cherish for a long time.
Arjun was first signed by Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2021 auction for Rs 20 lakh. He was released ahead of the 2022 mega auction and MI re-signed him last season for Rs 30 lakh.
Meanwhile, Rohit caught a stomach bug, and Suryakumar Yadav, who stepped in to lead in his absence, won the toss at the Wankhede Stadium here and elected to bowl first.
He said, ‘The pitch looks dry and this ground has a history of teams chasing better targets. Duane Johnson comes in, that’s the only change,” Yadav said at the toss.
