AR Rahman’s son, AR Amin, narrowly escaped a shooting set mishap, in which an entire truss and chandelier hanging from a crane fell on the stage where the young singer was performing. He wrote a long note about the incident, revealing that he was in shock and unable to recover from the trauma. He also expressed his gratitude to the Almighty for saving him from a terrible accident.

On Sunday, Amin shared two pictures of the incident on his Instagram account. The first picture shows the chandelier hanging on the setup along with the stage set. The second picture shows the structure and the chandelier lying on the stage. Along with the pictures, he wrote, ‘I am thankful to the Almighty, my parents, family, well-wishers and my spiritual guru that I am safe and alive today. Just three nights ago, I was shooting for a song and I was confident that the team took care of the engineering and safety while I was focused on performing in front of the camera. Whole trusses and chandeliers hanging from a crane came down while I was right in the middle of the spot. ,

He said, “If it had moved a few inches here and there, a few seconds earlier or later, the entire rig would have fallen on our heads. My team and I are in shock and unable to recover from the trauma.”
