GUWAHATI: The Inquiry Officer investigating the Assam Public Service Commission (APSCThe Cash for Jobs scam filed the 12th chargesheet against 23 ACS and APS officers on Tuesday as the police found some fresh evidence against the accused.
These 23 officers are among 60 people arrested in connection with the case. The then APSC President, Rakesh PaulWas arrested in 2016. Surjeet Singh Panesar“We have got fresh evidence against 23 accused. They will be interrogated from the second week of January. We have sought permission from the special court for further investigation of the case and we have been given permission,” the investigating officer said. ,
Except Rakesh Paul, all the accused in the case are out on bail. PaulAlready granted bail in three cases, he is still in jail as he is yet to get bail in another case registered at Bhangagarh police station. He got bail in the cases registered in cid, Dispur Police Station and Dibrugarh Police Station SDR.
