Apply for admission in first year junior college by July 26, exam on August 21: Maharashtra Board | Pune News – Times of India

PUNE: The online application process for the Optional Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to Class XI (First Year Junior College or FYJC) will begin on Tuesday and end on July 26. The CET will be conducted on August 21 from 11 am to 1 pm. .
Students will be assigned an examination center based on their address and the examination will be conducted in eight mediums, by notification Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and higher secondary education, said.

The question paper will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from English, Mathematics, Social Science and Science subjects in Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) mode carrying 25 marks each.
The board has also listed the topics to be covered in each subject on the basis of which the single paper exam of 100 marks will be conducted.
It was already clarified by the government that the exam will be offline and will be based on the SSC Board’s Class X syllabus.
While the students can choose the medium of their choice for the examination out of the eight languages ​​(English, Marathi, Gujarati, Urdu, Kannada, Sindhi, Telugu, Hindi) prescribed by the state board, semi English medium students will be told the application form by the student. Compulsorily appearing for the examination in Mathematics, Science and English in the medium of choice as given in English Medium and Social Studies.
The education department had reduced 25% of the Class X syllabus due to COVID-19 and the subsequent lockdown.
Accordingly, no question will be asked on the missed part of the syllabus in CET.
Subject wise topics have been uploaded on the Board’s website.
All the students – State Board & Others – can fill the application form at http://cet.mh-ssc.ac.in and select the type of board in which he/she was during class X.
Students will be given a set of instructions as per the selection which they will have to read and select the appropriate column before proceeding.
