Apple’s Next Big Idea: An All-Glass Transparent iPhone?

Cupertino-Based Giants Apple Known for bringing revolutionary technologies to market. Now, the company has acquired a patent for an all-glass device (presumably iPhone) which can take different patterned designs on the back panel, which are either set by the user or at the manufacturing stage. The “electronic device with glass enclosure,” according to a patent first granted by Apple, will be made of transparent glass and have six flat surfaces on the body that can be used as displays.

The patent suggests that the all-glass iPhone may come with a display that can wrap around the sides. In the patent filing, Apple has also detailed how it will assemble and disassemble the device. It may come with a “cap” or button on the top through which components can exit. “An electronic device comprises a six-sided glass enclosure that defines an internal volume and consists of a first glass member and a second glass member. The first glass member is lower than the first major side of the six-sided glass enclosure.
