Apple will launch the Apple Watch Series 8 later this year. Recently, the Apple Watch was rumored to come with a body temperature monitor, and now a report says that the upcoming smartwatch from the company will have a bigger display than the previous model.
According to performance analyst Ross Young, who answered a question on Twitter about the upcoming apple watch series 8, the Apple Watch Series 8 lineup will include an additional one, measuring 1.99-inches in size. In another analyst note cited in a MacRumours report, Luxshare is described as a supplier of “high-end” 2-inch Apple Watch models this year. It looks like the 1.99-inch display size presented by Ross Young has only been rounded off by Pu.
The display size of the 1.99-inch Apple Watch is larger than both the 41mm and 45mm sizes of the Apple Watch. The 41mm Apple Watch sports a 1.691-inch display, while the 45mm model sports a 1.901-inch display. As MacRumours reports, the new display size will provide an additional 0.089-inches of space over the 45mm Apple Watch Series 7 model, which is an increase of about five percent.
It’s also possible that the slightly larger display size could be due to the Apple Watch Series 8’s rumored redesign with flat edges. While the rumors for a flat-edge Apple Watch aren’t as strong as last year, Apple didn’t change the design to a flat-edge ratio on the Apple Watch Series 7.
