Apple Watch Pro could come with extreme sports themed bands and watch faces – Times of India

Apple’s Far Out event is merely hours away; the Cupertino giant is expected to announce the new iPhone 14 lineup at the event, Apple Watch Series 8, which could be joined by a ‘Pro’ Apple Watch aimed at fitness enthusiasts. There have been many rumours about the Apple Watch Pro. It is said to have a rugged design, much like the Garmin offerings, and would offer health tracking features and extra battery life for those who are into extreme sports. However, the ‘Pro’ Apple Watch could be more different than we are expecting.
In a recent tweet, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says that the Apple Watch Pro would come with a wide range of watch bands having an extreme sports theme. Even the watch faces on the ‘Pro’ Apple Watch would show more statistics than the faces on regular Apple Watches.
However, we do not know what these “extreme sports” themed watch bands would look like, but if we were to guess, these could be similar to the Nike watch bands. Further, Gurman says that the old watch bands would not fit the upcoming Apple Watch Pro perfectly.
In another tweet, Gurman suggests that the highly-anticipated extra button on the Apple Watch Pro could be reprogrammable. Gurman notes that the button could be reprogrammed to do whatever a user wants, like open an app or begin a workout mode.
The Apple Watch Pro is rumoured to have a rugged build made of titanium. The screen would be flat instead of curved, as we see in regular Apple Watches. Further, the ‘Pro’ Apple Watch could carry a ‘Pro’ price tag of somewhere between $900 to $1000.
