Apple May Launch Macbook With Samsung Foldable Display

San Francisco: Tech giant Apple Samsung is in talks to launch a MacBook with a foldable display, media has reported.

The product is expected to be unveiled in 2025, with a possible 2026 launch, as per a report by SamMobile.

Samsung’s display division will gain influence, money and even more credibility if Apple introduces a foldable MacBook powered by Samsung Display, which will certainly increase the popularity of foldables.

Samsung Display has decided to invest 4.1 trillion won ($3.1 billion) in them, with the intention of mass-producing large-screen foldable OLED panels in 2025 and 2026.

This action seems to support the idea that Apple will release a MacBook with a folding display in the near future.

The report adds that the iPhone maker takes its time and invests years in the prototyping and designing stages of disruptive technologies, and since the MacBook is a household name, the company has to be extra careful.

In April, it was reported that Samsung Display has started developing a 13.3-inch OLED panel for Apple’s upcoming MacBook Air.

Meanwhile, in January, another report mentioned that Samsung was working on a new technology, Lifelike Pixel, for its OLED screens.
