Apple: Apple will now allow users to rate their own apps on the App Store – Times of India

New Delhi: Apple has always given users an option to re-download Apple’s in-house apps if they have removed them. But the company never let them write app Store Give reviews or even ratings for apps. Now it appears that the company is changing this age-old tradition by allowing users to review Apple’s apps.
According to an online report by 9to5Mac, Apple has quietly enabled App Store ratings and reviews for its apps. This means you can now enjoy the improvements made to the Maps and Trash Mail app.
Currently, the number of reviews is relatively small as compared to other third-party apps like Google Maps and Gmail. However, customer feedback for Apple’s apps is already filling in as reports suggest the Podcasts app has received the worst ratings.
You can rate and review any Apple app that is removable and reinstallable through the App Store, the report said. This means you still can’t rate core system apps like Phone or Messages. The report also states that none of Apple’s apps has managed to achieve a 5-star rating. The Voice Memos app is currently the highest rated Apple app with a 4-star rating, followed by the Weather app with a 3.7-star rating. On the other hand, the most popular Apple Music app has received over 300 reviews and a 3.7-star rating.
This new change introduced by Apple will help Apple treat apps more fairly and also help the company detect and respond to criticisms.
