Anupam Shyam’s Pratigya co-star Pooja Gor condoles his demise: ‘You take me under your wing’

Veteran actor Anupam Shyam, known for his roles in several television shows and films, passed away late on Sunday. He was 63 years old. The actor, who was most recently known for playing the role of Thakur Sajjan Singh in the show Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2, died due to multiple organ failure.

The actor was not healthy for the past few years and was also on dialysis. Hearing about his death, Mann Ki Awaz Pratigya Se Shyam’s co-star, Pooja Gor took to social media to mourn his demise. She shared several old pictures with Shyam and recalled how he taught her the Hindi language. He also thanked him for introducing him to Hindi literature. Concluding the note, Gore said that she will always remember his love, care and unmatched performance.

Other members of the entertainment industry also took to social media to offer condolences.

In 2020, the actor was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit and started his dialysis. Cine and TV Artists Associated (CINTAA) had appealed for financial help on behalf of the actor. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had announced an assistance of Rs 20 lakh for the actor’s treatment. Bollywood actor Sonu Sood also came forward to help.
