Nagpur: A CBSE Schools In Dabha Will be closed for 10 days after a class XI student tested positive for COVID-19. The student is asymptomatic and had tested himself as a precautionary measure before planning to travel out of the city.
On Friday, a CBSE school on Kampty Road was closed for a week after a student tested positive.
According to Dabha’s school sources, the student attended physical classes only once this week, but to comply with the health department’s norms, the management will stop teaching physical classes with immediate effect.
An employee working in the administrative wing of the school said, “We got a call from Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) today that a student has tested positive and they need to speak to the principal. So, we got the civic officials in touch with the principal. ,
A senior school teacher said that the girl student was asymptomatic even the day she went to school. “We check the body temperature and ask all the students about the symptoms, and he had none. It is easy for us to manage as right now only class IX has been re-opened for physical teaching,” said the teacher.
As the Christmas holidays are near, the school has decided to synchronize its mandatory shutdown with it. The senior teacher said, “We had only three working days left before the school closed for a holiday, so we are hurrying it up. Now, the reopening will happen on January 3. ,
All the students and teachers who came in contact with the student have been asked to undergo RT-PCR test. Teachers who have passed the exams will have to share their reports with the school management before being allowed to return to duty in January.
However, the online classes will continue as per the schedule, ensuring that the students do not suffer academic loss.
