Ankita Konwar corrects Twitter user for calling Mrs Milind Soman

Ankita Konwar on Tuesday corrected a Twitter user after calling her Mrs Milind Soman. He called for racism in India after weightlifter Mirabai Chanu won a silver medal at the ongoing Olympic Games in Tokyo. Ankita Konwar said on Twitter, “If you are from Northeast India, you can become an Indian only if you win a medal for the country. Otherwise, we would be known as ‘Chinki’ ‘Chinese’ ‘Nepali’ or a new one. Also ‘Corona’. India is suffering not only from casteism but also from racism. Speaking from my experience. #Hypocrites.

His tweet got many reactions from his followers. One user said, “I’m not sure I’ll like this message because I’m ashamed of it, discrimination is part of our culture.” Ankita replied, “It really involves the basics in understanding it.” “

Another user said, “Yes, in general, you are right. But there are many of us here who think that everyone from Nagaland to Mumbai and Kashmir to Kanyakumari irrespective of their religion, caste and colour. A proud Indian. Cheers.”

However, it didn’t go down very well with all the followers. One of the disappointed users commented, “Very negative attitude……… at least not expected from Mrs Milind.” To which Ankita replied, “I am Ankita Konwar.”

Milind and Ankita got married in 2018 in Mumbai after dating for 5 years. A month later they also exchanged wedding vows in a dreamy “barefoot wedding” in Spain. The two of them recently celebrated their third wedding anniversary and shared their stunning pictures on their respective social media handles on the occasion.

Milind wrote on Instagram, “Happy 3rd anniversary @ankita_earthy miss you every moment you are crazy.”

Meanwhile Ankita captioned the pictures, “Every day is an adventure, a new anniversary of something and another Valentine’s Day with you. 3 years since we had our magical wedding in that little jungle in Spain, barefoot, a waterfall In front of you. To be together You are literally experiencing the magic! You are the water of my earth.”
