Android: Asus ROG Phone 2 finally starts receiving Android 11 update in select regions – Times of India

Asus Known for sending regular updates to their smartphones, especially their Please series smartphone. The company has already updated its ROG Phone 3. Android 11 operating system and the ROG Phone 5 was launched with Android 11 and both are entitled to receive the latest Android 12 update.
What is surprising is that the two-year-old ROG Phone 2- has started receiving the Android 11 update. XDA Developer has reported that the Asus Chinese website has listed the entire changelog coming to the ROG Phone 2 as part of the Android 11 update.
Not to forget, the phone was launched with Android 9 Pie and has already received the Android 10 update last year. The current Android 11 update could be the last major software update for the smartphone.
Android 11 brings several new changes to the smartphone including new and updated ROG UI, app updates game genie, arsenal crate, contacts, phone, backup, and more. Apart from this, the update will also include all the features that Android 11 brings to the table including notification bar styling, better gesture support and more.
Apart from this, the update also brings the latest Android security patch.
It is also important to note that the update is currently only listed in the Chinese website and there is nothing on the global or Indian website regarding the update. Hence, there are chances that Asus may release the update in a phased manner.
