VIZIANAGARAM: Police on Tuesday arrested a 62-year-old retired government officer on charges of having unnatural sex with a cow. The incident, which happened at Kancharam village under Rajam rural police station limits in Vizianagaram district a few days ago, came to light after a video of the act went viral.
Police said they have arrested P Ramakrishna, who retired as assistant director of lands and survey department. Investigation has revealed that he has allegedly been doing such acts with cows and pet dogs for the past few years. Though his relatives and villagers knew about his unnatural ways, they didn’t disclose it to anyone and kept a distance from him. “It’s surprising as we found him physically and mentally sound. We are yet to know the exact reason why he indulged in such acts,” the local police station inspector D Naveen Kumar said.

He said they arrested him after a complaint was filed by a person following the video of the man having unnatural sex with a cow went viral on social media. “Based on the complaint, we have registered a case under Section 377 of IPC and relevant sections dealing with cruelty against animal,” he added.
