Ek Action Hero was released across the cinema halls on 2 December and was highly praised for its intelligent screenplay, dialogues and fast-paced story. Although the film did not perform well at the box office, it managed to garner critical acclaim.
Talking about the film, Ayushmann told the media that while shooting for the film, the actor felt like he was making his debut again. He had to forget a lot of things to get into the character. Talking about it, the actor said, “It felt like I was making my debut in the Hindi film industry while shooting for ‘An Action Hero’. I have never explored this genre in my career, So I had to explore and learn many things for this. Carry out this role effectively on screen.
