Amrita Khanvilkar, who has been a well-known name of Marathi cinema, has been a religious follower of Bigg Boss. This year, the actress was by the side of her friend Tejasswi Prakash, who eventually won the show. Amrita had earlier participated in reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi 10 and Nach Baliye Season 7, in which she was declared the winner along with her husband Himanshu Malhotra.
The actress actively follows Bigg Boss 15 and was often seen commenting on Tejaswi’s Instagram posts. But Amrita says that she never sees herself in a show hosted by Salman Khan as her husband is totally against the idea.
Amrita tells us, “I guess I have to take my husband’s permission to participate in Bigg Boss. Himanshu is totally against it. He is like, ‘Do whatever you want to do in life but I don’t want you’ Go there. He is extremely protective of me. Everyone tells me, ‘Amrita, you are Bigg Boss material.’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, that’s all right. But if the main guy doesn’t want me to go there then there’s no point.’ I respect him because he has never asked me to do anything, so if there is anything he feels I shouldn’t do, I want to respect him,” adds Amrita.
Amrita and Himanshu have been married since January 2015. While Amrita is known for working in films like Phunk, Natrang, Raazi and Malang, Himanshu has featured in TV shows including Airlines, Bhagonwali-Bante Apni Takdeer, Ek Nayi Umeed – Roshni, and others. Cheeku’s mother is afraid.
Amrita and Himanshu also entertained the audience with their passionate love in Nach Baliye Season 7. They connected the masses with their perfect dance moves and presented themselves as the picture-perfect couple every time they stepped on the dance floor. The dancing reality show made the couple a household name. The first and second runners-up of Nach Baliye 7 were Rashmi Desai-Nandish Sandhu and Karishma Tanna-Upen Patel.
