Here is a notice of defamation including criminal proceedings under various sections of the IPC.”

“The allegations are made with the sole intention of diverting public attention from the misgovernance and failure of the ruling government and the action taken by the central agencies to gain cheap political mileage,” the legal notice said.

Further stating that if Nawab Malik does not comply with the instructions mentioned in the notice, such as deleting the derogatory tweets within 48 hours, an appropriate proceeding will be initiated “including criminal proceedings under sections 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code, but but not limited to” Code (IPC), 1860 against Malik as well as any other criminal proceeding and civil suit for defamation.
