Amitabh Bachchan’s 31 staff members undergo COVID-19 test, one diagnosed positive: Report

A member of Amitabh Bachchan’s staff has reportedly tested positive for Covid-19. The update came a day after the Kaun Banega Crorepati host shared a cryptic note about the ‘Covid situation’ at home on his blog. According to a new report, 31 staff members working at his residence Jalsa underwent the COVID-19 test on Sunday. One of them had tested positive.

“An employee of actor Amitabh Bachchan’s house turned out to be Covid positive. A total of 31 staff members were tested at Big B’s Jalsa. Out of which only one has been found positive. The test was done on Sunday,” a source told India Today. According to a report in Hindustan Times, an official of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said, “Staff at BMC’s CCC-2 (Covid Care Center-2) has been quarantined.” He said the positive staff is asymptomatic.

On Monday, Big B hinted about the Covid crisis at home on his Tumblr blog. He wrote, “Dealing with some domestic covid situations.. will add up later.” Amitabh then posted another in which he talked about fighting and praying. “Fight .. Fight .. and with everyone’s prayers .. no further .. . no more details .. just the show goes on ..” He said, “Stay in the peace of the almighty who blesses us with his grace and Let’s watch with safety.. Man does many abusive things.. He forgives and acts to lead us on the path of the righteous.. We follow the unknown force.. It’s not discovered yet and wonder whether it will be.. but in its veiled bubble of security.. until then..”
