The 2024 Lok Sabha elections are a pivotal event in India. As Phase 5 polling began in Maharashtra, many Bollywood actors headed to their designated polling booths early in the morning and through the day to cast their votes. Many celebrities were seen at the polling stations, eagerly discharging their duty. They posed for photographers outside the booths, proudly displaying their inked fingers, a traditional sign of having voted.
The participation of Bollywood stars in the elections shows how important public figures are in promoting democratic values and voting. Among those who voted were Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. In a heartwarming sight, the evergreen couple was spotted hand in hand as they headed to a Mumbai polling station. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, back from Cannes, was also papped at the polling station. The actress, who broke her wrist over the weekend and had to get a cast on, was seen exercising her voting rights.

Amitabh Bachchan will soon be seen in the futuristic sci-fi film, Kalki 2898 AD. It also stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in key roles. As for Rekha, she was last seen in films in 2014 in Super Nani.
