Amit Shah thanks CISF for being ‘Karmayogi’ of the country at 53rd Foundation Day celebrations

new Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah attends the 53rd Raising Day celebrations of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. During this, he made an address talking about the coronavirus pandemic and Operation Ganga.

The Union Home Minister also inspected the parade of the force here.

Amit Shah on Sunday thanked the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for being the ‘karmayogi’ of the country and said the forces warmly welcomed Indians returning from abroad through various evacuation operations.

“During the Coronavirus pandemic when Indians were returning from abroad under the Vande Bharat Mission, CISF personnel risked taking care of fellow Indians and even lost their lives. They looked after Indians returning from Ukraine Even under Operation Ganga,” Shah said while addressing the CISF Raising Day celebrations.

The Union Home Minister then said that India’s journey towards a $2.5 trillion economy was impossible without force.

“In the journey from a $2.5 trillion economy to a $5 trillion economy, I request CISF DG Sheel Vardhan Singh to prepare a road map for the next 25 years which will be the nectar period as more industrial and manufacturing units are set up. country in all spheres,” Shah said during his address.

Referring to the increasing strength of women personnel in CISF, Shah requested the DG to make it 80:20 (male, female) ratio in the organization as compared to the current 94:06 ratio.

“I request CISF to train private security agencies to help protect all industrial units of the country. I ask CISF to create a hybrid model with the contribution of CISF and private security agencies. Later, CISF will be withdrawn and private security will be withdrawn. Provide security,” he said.

Shah spoke about the future and how anti-drone is being developed due to the growing threat of drones. Shah said the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) are developing anti-drone technology and the CISF will train itself to protect industrial units from any drone strike.
