Amit Shah sounds election bugle in Tripura, says BJP will make it India’s top state

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday launched the BJP’s campaign for next year’s assembly elections in Tripura, claiming that the state has suffered a lot under the CPI(M) rule for 25 years and it was only after the saffron party came to power. It was peaceful. Power. He said that if BJP comes to power again, the party will make Tripura the number one state in the country.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day on Tuesday, Shah announced that 33 per cent of government jobs in Tripura would be reserved for women. For 25 years, Tripura had to suffer a lot under communist rule. Today, under PM (Narendra) Modi and CM Biplab Deb, Tripura is known for peace and progress, he said while addressing a rally here on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the BJP-IPFT government in the state.

The BJP-IPFT alliance came to power in March 2018 ousting the CPI(M), which had ruled the state for 25 years. In Tripura earlier there was talk of militancy, infiltration, bandh and corruption. “Today Modi ji has taken Tripura and the entire North East forward in every field and named this region – Ashta Lakshmi (eight forms of goddess of wealth),” Shah said.

The NE region comprises eight states. The senior BJP leader claimed that Tripura was earlier plagued by violence, corruption and drug trade, but today it is moving towards becoming self-reliant.

I have come to meet you all after four years. He said that elections will be held after one year and I appeal to you to give one more term chance and I promise that we will make Tripura number one in the country in terms of development in the next five years. The Union Home Minister claimed that there has been a 30 per cent decline in heinous crimes in Tripura and the conviction rate has increased from 5 per cent to 53 per cent.

Shah said that in the present government the income of farmers has doubled and per capita income has increased to Rs 1.3 lakh. He said at the rally that each farmer is now getting Rs 6000 annually and Rs 400 crore has been spent for this purpose. PM-KISAN scheme aims to boost the income of farmers by providing them Rs 6,000 per year in three equal installments. Shah said, “Agartala has been connected with the rest of the country by rail. A total of 542 km of national highways have been built by spending Rs 7000 crore.”

He said the ruling government would fulfill all the promises made in the manifesto and he would return to Tripura to seek votes. He said that I am confident that under the leadership of Biplab Kumar Deb, the state can prosper, develop and become free from drug menace, who is motivating the state to become self-reliant. Shah said that the Modi government is working for national security. There was a time when terrorist attacks used to happen in the country every day. But the surgical strike and Balakot air strike have given a strong message to the world about the strength of the country.

The Union minister also criticized the Congress for protecting Article 370 of the Constitution that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir for 70 years. He said that Sonia-ji and Manmohan-ji had protected Article 370 as a child for 70 years, but after Modi-ji assumed office for the second time on August 5, 2019, the special constitutional provision was scrapped. Was. Shah praised the Biplab Kumar Deb government and said that it has worked hard to create infrastructure for the last four years.

Tripura recently celebrated its 50th Foundation Day. He said that out of those 50 years, communists had ruled the state for 25 years, but development was largely ignored during their rule.
