Amit Shah Slams Congress Over Pawan Khera’s ‘Gautamdas’ Jibe at PM Modi

Addressing a rally in Nagaland’s Mon Town, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Congress will not be visible even through a telescope.

Addressing a rally in Nagaland’s Mon Town, Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized the Congress spokesperson for his choice of words for PM Modi. He also took a dig at Rahul Gandhi, saying that since he became its leader, the level of the members of the opposition party is falling day by day.

“The kind of language the Congress spokesperson has used (for the Prime Minister) and the kind of response received from people across the country…you will see,” he said. Rahul Gandhi That after the Lok Sabha elections in 2024, the Congress will not be visible even through a telescope. People will answer from the ballot box.

PM Modi’s full name is Narendra Damodardas Modi, the middle name Damodardas stands for his father’s name.

Khera had recently made this comment while criticizing the government on the Adani controversy.

Addressing the media, Khera said, “Why is the government running away from discussion in the Parliament… Why is it afraid of forming the JPC… When former PM Narasimha Rao, Atal Bihari Vajpayee could have formed the JPC… Why does Narendra Gautam Das, sorry Narendra Damodar Das has any problem with this?… name bhale hi Damodar Das hai par kaam Gautam Das hai (His name is Damodardas but the deeds are of ‘Gautam Das’).

At the rally in Nagaland, Shah said, “I strongly condemn the kind of language that has been used for our beloved Prime Minister.”

“It is a matter of concern to me and to all those concerned about the standards of public life that the standard of Congress functionaries has been falling ever since Rahul Gandhi became the party leader,” he said.

BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya also slammed Khera, saying the party’s “deep sense of entitlement and disdain for a self-made man does not sit well with an aspirational India”.

“The Congress has repeatedly targeted PM Modi for his humble origins and now they have not even spared his dead father who had nothing to do with politics…sits well with an aspirational India,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, based on the complaint of BJP MLC and Lucknow BJP President Mukesh Verma, an FIR was registered against Kheda at Lucknow’s Hazratganj police station.
