Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday lauded the Centre’s decision to increase Dearness Allowance (DA) of government employees. The Union Cabinet on Wednesday decided to restore Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for central government employees and pensioners with effect from July 1, 2021, while raising the rate of allowance to 28 per cent.

“PM Narendra Modi has given a big relief to Central Government employees by increasing Dearness Allowance (DA) from 17% to 28%. This decision will benefit lakhs of Central Government employees and pensioners. I express my gratitude to PM Modi, Amit Shah tweeted.

He also praised the decisions of the Cabinet on CSS, Gram Nyayalayas and Tax Exemption Scheme on Textiles and Apparel.

The Modi cabinet has approved the continuation of CSS for the development of infrastructure for the judiciary. This will enhance well-equipped digital courts and give impetus to rural courts to provide speedy and affordable justice to the rural marginalized.
