Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reached Srinagar for a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. After reaching the Valley, the Union Minister reached the residence of slain CID Inspector Parvez Ahmed in Nowgam, Srinagar to offer condolences along with his family. Parvez was killed by terrorists in June 2021. Amit Shah was accompanied by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Union Minister Jitendra Singh and DGP Dilbagh Singh. During this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah met Parvez Ahmed’s wife Fatima Akhtar and also gave her official papers for a government job. On the evening of 22 June, Inspector Parvez Ahmed was ambushed by terrorists. Parvez Ahmed was martyred in the attack.
The incident was carried out when Parvez Ahmed was going to offer Namaz in the mosque. During this, two armed terrorists fired indiscriminately at him.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to martyr Jawan Parvez Ahmed and said that I and the whole country are proud of his bravery.
The Home Minister met his family members and gave his wife a government job.
