Amit Shah Asks BJP’s J&K Core Group to Gear Up for Polls, Reach Out to Locals, Build Confidence

BJP national general secretary BL Santosh is expected to visit Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday to take stock of the party’s current organizational strength.

Amid the possibility of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir this year, BJP leaders and workers have been instructed to prepare for the electoral process as an announcement in this regard is expected soon.

The directions came after the BJP’s core group meeting for Jammu and Kashmir late on Monday evening. The meeting was presided over by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

National general secretary BL Santosh is expected to visit the union territory on Wednesday to take stock of the party’s current organizational strength.

During the visit, Santosh is expected to interact with party leaders and take their feedback about the situation in the area.

In the core group meeting, Shah is understood to have directed the party leaders to reach out to the masses and instill confidence in them.

Leaders were also asked to engage in confidence building measures. “Our government has done a lot in setting up democratic and peace processes. Anti-India forces have tried to destabilize the process, but we will not let them win.

The leaders have been asked to meet the local people and take confidence-building measures, assuring them that the promises made by the party will be fulfilled soon, and how the democratically elected government will ensure the protection of their rights .

The BJP meeting assumes significance as the Center has been preparing for assembly elections in Kashmir for the last few months. The Home Ministry is expected to provide adequate security forces for the polling and conduct a detailed assessment Election The commission is expected to be handed over to the government soon.
