Amid tensions, China deploys large number of UAVs, fighter jets at Nagri Gunsa airbase

China has deployed a large number of UAVs and fighter jets at the Ngari Gunsa airbase, as well as a similar deployment of tanks and artillery in the Ngari area which is about 100 km from Pandong tso.

Such a heavy deployment is once again raising doubts about the intention of China. According to the Indian Army, they are monitoring all developments very closely and have also done mirror deployment.

Military talks between India and China on 10 October to end the border disputes did not result in a solution as the Chinese did not agree with the “constructive suggestions” provided by the Indian delegation.

Furthermore, the Chinese could not make any forward-looking offers. “The remaining areas were not resolved as a result of the meeting,” the Indian Army said in a statement.

The 13th round of the India-China Corps Commander level meeting was held on October 10, 2021 at the Chushul-Moldo border meeting point.

During the meeting, the discussions between the two sides focused on resolving the remaining issues along the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh.
