Srinagar: Two Americans from California may have become the first foreign pilgrims to undertake the Amarnath Yatra to the holy cave shrine of Lord Shiva in the South Kashmir Himalayas.
In a video released by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Jammu and Kashmir administration, two men, who have not been named, talk about their journey.
“We live in a temple ashram in California. We have dreamed of coming here for this trip for years. We watch ‘Aarti’ videos on YouTube daily since last few years. It’s hard, impossible to describe how we feel. One of them said, “We have incredible gratitude and we are very happy.”
