Ambati Rayudu’s previous tenure with Baroda lasted for two years starting from 2012

Ambati Rayudu will represent Baroda in the upcoming domestic after getting the no-objection certificate from Andhra Cricket organization. He will join them as a professional and is reportedly available for all three formats despite restricting himself to white-ball cricket since November 2017.

This will be the second stint with Baroda for Rayudu, who had previously played for them from 2012 to 2014. The 36-year-old batsman has represented several domestic teams including Andhra, Hyderabad, Baroda and Vidarbha.

The veteran has experience of 97 first-class matches, 172 List A games and 269 T20Is. He has scored a combined 17393 runs in all formats including 22 centuries and 104 half-centuries.

he has also represented India In 65 ODIs and six T20 Internationals.

The Baroda Cricket Association has also appointed former all-rounder Yusuf Pathan as its mentor for a year.

BCA chief executive Shishir Hattangadi said Pathan has been brought in to help nurture young talent. “Baroda is a tiny entity, and the idea is that someone of Yusuf’s stature should help nurture the talent that is to come. We have seen that it is not lack of ability in players, it is their confidence level and mental make-up that needs a change. We thought Yusuf would be a perfect fit,” says Hattangadi espncricinfo,
