Ambala: In a gang war, a Derabassi One person was killed and another injured in indiscriminate firing on his car by rivals in front of DAV Public School on Ambala-Jagadhri Highway. Ambala Cantonment Thursday at around 4.50 pm. The deceased has been identified as Mohit Rana, who was around 30 years old and was a resident of Rajapur village in Derabassi. The name of the injured is Vishal alias Bhola Kacha Bazaar, Ambala Cantt,
The incident was captured in a CCTV camera installed in a shop near the spot. The footage showed Mohit and Vishal going from Ambala to Saha in a black car. Mohit was driving the car and Vishal was sitting next to him. When they turned towards Kardhan, a white SUV following them stopped their car. Two men who got down from the SUV started firing indiscriminately at the car from the driver’s side. After 20 seconds the miscreants fled towards Saha on National Highway 444-A.

Passers-by called the police. Witnesses said more than a dozen shots were fired.
Police team reached the spot and took the injured to Civil Hospital Ambala Cantt, where Mohit was declared brought dead. Vishal was referred to PGIMER Chandigarh. He has been shot several times. Shiva Town SHO Inspector Suresh said, “Their families have been informed. We have registered a case of murder. Our team has recovered eight empty bullet shells from the spot. Mohit’s post-mortem will be done on Friday.”
