Amarnath Yatra 2023: The Amarnath Yatra is attracting a large number of pilgrims, with the number of pilgrims visiting the holy cave crossing 1.4 lakh since July 1. According to an official statement by the Information and Public Relations Department, Jammu and Kashmir today, 9,155 Amarnath pilgrims paid obeisance at the holy cave.

The pilgrims who visited the Amarnath cave on Wednesday included 6995 men, 1918 women, 122 children and 120 sadhus. Thousands of Amarnath pilgrims cross the hilly routes along the Pahalgam and Baltal axis with great enthusiasm to visit the holy cave. Around 30 government departments are continuously rendering their services to ensure that this pilgrimage becomes a memorable and life-changing experience for the yatris. The officials and staff are making strenuous efforts to provide essential services and basic amenities to the pilgrims at each destination.

The arrangements made for the convenience of the pilgrims have received a positive response, with each and every pilgrim expressing satisfaction and happiness. Due to this cause and belief, Amarnath Yatra is attracting global devotees including NRIs and citizens of different countries.

Two foreign nationals from California, United States of America (US) also fulfilled their 40 years old dream by undertaking the holy journey of Amarnath Yatra. He was inspired by the teachings of Swami Vivekananda’s idea of ​​spirituality. After coming here, he expressed happiness and said that it is a dream come true. One of the foreign pilgrims said, “There is a special kind of peace in these mountains. We hope that this kind of peace can prevail everywhere.”

Pilgrims from different countries become ambassadors of hospitality, peace and spread the message of spirituality in their countries. Significantly, a few days ago, 33 pilgrims from Nepal had also come to visit the Amarnath cave. On the way, he was facilitated and warmly welcomed by the administration. The 62-day Amarnath Yatra, which began on July 1, will end on August 31, 2023.
