Captain discussed with BJP leaders regarding seat sharing in Delhi

Former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh is visiting Delhi today. During this he will meet senior BJP leaders. In which there will be discussion regarding Punjab elections. Apart from this, there will be talk on seat sharing in Punjab. Apart from Amarinder, Sukhdev Dhindsa of SAD (United) is also reaching Delhi. He is likely to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Punjab elections may be announced in January next year. In such a situation, to contest the elections jointly, BJP, Captain and Dhidhansa are busy in finalizing the seat sharing fast.

Will fight elections on this formula

The Captain, BJP and SAD (United) are not contesting the elections this time on a seat-sharing formula, but a traditional alliance. In this, it will be seen on each seat whose candidate is in a position to win. He will be given a ticket from there itself. Which other parties will fully support. In this, priority is being given to the ability to win, not the number of seats.

Earlier, Captain has met BJP's Punjab election in-charge Gajendra Shekhawat in Delhi.

Ticket to BJP in cities and Captain-Dhindsa group in villages

According to sources, BJP will try its luck in cities in Punjab. Of the total 117 seats in Punjab, 40 are urban seats. In which BJP can field its candidate. Apart from this, in 51 cm urban seats, where urban votes are more, there will be a BJP candidate. In rural areas, candidates from Captain Amarinder Singh’s Punjab Lok Congress and Sukhdev Dhindsa’s SAD (United) will be fielded. The main reason for this will be to avoid the opposition of BJP due to the penetration of these two leaders in the rural vote bank and the farmers movement.
