Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has suddenly reached Delhi. On Wednesday, he reached the residence of MP wife Preneet Kaur directly from Chandigarh. At present, Amarinder is staying there. If sources are to be believed, Amarinder is likely to meet Union ministers. As of now, there has been no official response from the Captain Group. There was also talk of Amarinder Singh meeting PM Narendra Modi last time but it did not happen. However, Amarinder has now announced to leave the Congress. In such a situation, political speculations have started regarding his Delhi visit.

Captain met Shah and Doval last time
Captain Amarinder Singh went on a Delhi tour a few days ago after resigning from the post of CM. There he met Union Home Minister Amit Shah. After this, the National Security Advisor (NSA) met Ajit Doval. It was only after this that Amarinder announced to leave the Congress. However, there were speculations then that Amarinder might join the BJP. There was also talk of finding a solution to the farmers’ movement by becoming the Union Agriculture Minister. On his return to Punjab, Amarinder denied that he was going to join the BJP.

All eyes on Amarinder’s next political move
Captain Amarinder Singh has been in the politics of Punjab for 52 years. Has been the CM of Punjab for 9 and a half years. A few days ago, suddenly Congress removed him from the CM’s chair. Amarinder then said that he was humiliated. The shocking thing about this was about Sidhu. Amarinder said that he will not allow Sidhu to win the election at any cost. Will field a strong candidate against Sidhu. It is believed that Amarinder may form a new organization. Through which they can end the farmers’ movement by getting a solution to the agriculture law. After this, Punjab can enter the fray in the elections in 2022. Discussions have also come to the fore regarding the formation of his Punjab Vikas Party. However, Amarinder has not said anything about it yet.

Amarinder Singh is a veteran leader in the politics of Punjab. Congress returned to power on his face in 2002 and 2017. Opponents as well as Congressmen know this. Captain showed his dominance by defeating veteran BJP leader Arun Jaitley in the Modi wave in the Lok Sabha elections from Amritsar. Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat said that the people of Punjab are against Amarinder. Although his electoral record is better. Amarinder won 77 seats in 2017 amid the atmosphere of the Aam Aadmi Party coming to power. After this it won 3 out of 4 seats in the by-election. Won 8 out of 13 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Elections to 7 municipal corporations were held in February this year. Congress won 281 out of 350 seats i.e. 80.28%. 109 city council elections were held. Out of 109 councilors, 97 Congress won. Congress won 1,486 wards out of 2,165 i.e. 68%.
