Former Punjab CM Amarinder Singh on Friday remembered his father Maharaja Sir Yadvinder Singh on his 109th birth anniversary. He met Hira Singh, who read to Amarinder a poem he had written for his father.
In memory of his father, Singh tweeted a video with the caption, “During my visit to Patiala yesterday I am glad to meet Hira Singh ji, who sent me a poem written by my father in memory of my father Late Maharaja Yadvendra Singh. Poetry was presented. Ji. Today, as we celebrate his 109th birth anniversary, a heartfelt tribute to my father.
Maharaja Sir Yadvinder Singh was the 9th and last ruling Maharaja of Patiala from 1938 to 1971. He was also an Indian cricketer.
