In a related development, a group of transgender people also held a demonstration in front of Mishra’s residence here, accusing them of “assaulting” a woman policeman.

However, Mishra’s daughter Shubhashree offered them sweets and drinking water “as they seemed tired of protesting against my father. They did not come themselves but were brought. He blessed me while leaving his place. Earlier, several BJP leaders, including Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan, reached Mishra’s official residence to wish him on his birthday.
